 If you’ve decided to explore the option of joining a fraternity, then you’ve already made a good decision for your college career. During the rush process you will meet men of several qualities, personalities, and talents; however, you must choose the group of men that is best for you. The Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon prides itself in maintaining academic, personal, athletic, and social excellence at UC Berkeley. Our diverse membership of nearly 100 men offers rushees both a promising and accomplished undergraduate experience as well as a fraternity for life. Tau Kappa Epsilon is the largest Greek letter organization with More than 257,000 men initiated into the bond since its founding in 1899.

The men of Tau Kappa Epsilon will extend a bid for new membership to those individuals who have expressed interest in TKE and embody the fraternity’s values. Upon acceptance of the bid, prospective members become pledges and enter the pledging process towards becoming brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon.

Hazing
Tau Kappa Epsilon banned hazing in 1928 and all TKE chapters are required to be anti-hazing facilities. Nu Chapter is no exception to this policy. Hazing is defined as any action taken or situation created, intentionally, on or off college or fraternity premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, ridicule, or possibly cause mental or physical harm or injury. At the Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon we take a firm stance against hazing and we do not encourage, accept, or believe in any kind of it. We are especially proud of our candidate education process which focuses on team and leadership building, brotherhood bonding, and building better men.
